Before you book
Most people describe it as a hot elastic band snapped against the skin. It's short — 10 to 20 minutes for most tattoos — and the area is iced straight after.
6 to 12 is typical. Hands, feet and lower legs clear more slowly than the torso. You'll get a realistic range for your own tattoo once we've seen a photo.
A Q-switched Nd:YAG — the clinical standard for tattoo removal. Two wavelengths: 1064 nm for black and dark blue and for tanned or darker skin, 532 nm for red and warm tones.
Black clears best, red usually goes well, green and turquoise are slow and sometimes only lighten. You'll be told which one yours is before you pay anything. How it works, in full.
Yes. The laser shatters the ink and your own body clears it over the following weeks — that keeps working after you leave, and you can finish the course anywhere. More on that.
A tan is fine. Sunburn is the hard stop. Tanned and darker skin just gets adjusted settings. Burnt or peeling skin means the session is postponed — a wasted trip for both of us.
